We are headed up to Pine Creek for our 27th annual trout trip on Monday. We fish mainly Galeton, Gaines, Rexford and Ansonia. I know Pine was blown out last week, and will get rain the next few days. Does anyone who lives up that way have a read on what we might expect for Monday through Friday? We’d appreciate any insight.

I'm in Galeton. I can tell you that even though we had a lot of rain yesterday, the water looks good today. But with a good chance of rain every day from now to then you could be looking at any where from blown out to the lowest levels of the season so far.
Bug wise the above sources may be your best bet. I got on the water for an hour Monday evening and it was pretty dead.

Years ago, there was a woman who guided out of Wolf's Store (one of the Finkbiners maybe). When we were there early in the season when the water was cold and high, she told us to just fish from shore since the fish were "right there" when the water is up and colored.

I'm floating Ansonia to Rattlesnake next weekend. I think water should be ideal. (fingers crossed).
Thanks everyone. Yeah, Pine up that high can clear up pretty quickly after a decent rain. Fingers crossed that all the forecasted rain over the next several days is light or misses the area entirely.
I’ve run into the lady guide (and her fishing buddy dog) a few times in Slate Run. She always mentions to fish tight to the bank because people tend to wade where the fish usually lie. She mentions that in normal level water as well. I’ve fished across Pine from her at least three times. She catches fish 👍

In all the years I’ve been up to Pine Creek, I have only fished above and below the canyon, except in the Keystone Select area. Do they stock as well in the canyon as they do above and below? I’ve often been curious how well the guys that float through the canyon do with trout.
