Yellow Breeches Tricos

I was fishing on the Yellow Breeches this morning and captured what appeared to be tricos in my bug net size 20, black body, clear wings. Isn't it too early for tricos. If so what could they have be.

My money would be midges, I was there on Sunday and there were caddis and Hendrickson’s on the water around 9 am. Midges were going all day.

Not a midge it was clearly a mayfly.

#20 is big for a YB trike? Did you count tails, seriously? If 2 tails, may be a Baetis.

Ok, good. Could be a dark brown spinner, spinner of the blue quill. Or the spinner of one baetidae species.

Pseudocloeons most likely. 0nly 2 wings vice 4 as on a trico, 2 tails. Check the cobwebs along the creek
