I went out today and tried the lititz run after my college classes, they are doing a “restoration” project in millport where the pond was and the run off into the creek was absolutely horrible. Do these projects even help the creeks health if durring the restoration it is polluting the creek?
Did catch one stocker.

If they are removing a pond on the creek the answer is probably yes, it does help the creek's health. Ponds warm the water. Removing the pond should result in cooler, more oxygenated water, which benefits trout.

The effects of the sediment are temporary. The stream transports the fine sediment out.

Had a good day on the meat hole at Lititz a few weeks back. It looks like the flooding earlier in the summer blasted out some of the restoration work from last year up above the footbridge. Long haul, restorations I've seen on other creeks have done wonders to help wild populations, but it takes a few years. Beaver Creek in Hagerstown is a great example.

I should know this, but did this area used to be a pond? And is that a before and after? How does that stretch fish? I've never bother to pay for a permit. And what's a rock filter? And who is paying for it?
