That is a very cool Stimulator. What is the tail material?

I've been tying some Flashback Pheasant tails in size 18, 2x. The tails are too long for my taste, but it doesn't seem to matter to the fish. I added a bit of a dun color hackle for a little more movement. I'm going to tie more with some Hungarian partridge hackle, too. They've been working for me lately.

It doesn't matter what you think the fly looks like. It matters greatly what the trout think it looks like.
