Any advice on using golden pheasant tippet for tailing?

snip them off from the stem and try to keep the tips even

What size hook do you use for these? Is it always the about same size? Also do you just Tie one of each pattern?

i use size 10

but they can be tied from size 6 to 16

i tie only one but have tied up to a dozen for fly swaps

Tail - Golden pheasant tippets
Ribbing - Gold tinsel
Body - White floss
Hackle - Blue
Wing - Grey speckled turkey with married strands of blue, yellow and scarlet duck/goose on each side

What is the body material there? Quill of some sort?
It’s a stripped hackle from a brown cape. I don’t know where I got it, just liked the color. It was pretty soft, and didn’t need to be soaked before I wrapped, and coated it with SHHN.

Tail - Duck or goose; yellow, blue, green & red – married
Ribbing - Oval silver tinsel
Body - Flat silver tinsel
Hackle - Guinea fowl and blue
Wing - Duck or goose - brown, red, green blue, & yellow - married
