Silk and soft hackles

Those will be real fish catchers, Bill. Nicely done. I love that color in a soft hackle and you chose a real nice color for the hackle to go with the purple. They will definitely produce!

I had a Starling skin just laying around and I thought it would look nice on the purple.

The amber and green one is a hare's ear dubbed throax. I also used green holographic tinsel under the green body for more flash..

Thanks Helios. I am actually tying some soft hackles tonight I'm going to crank out a few of them. I really like that look.

Starling is the accepted substitution for Snipe ( Snipe & purple )
do the same thing myself. They are nice looking flies "W"
