I think that show needed to be about 2.5 hours long instead of 90 minutes. I could listen to Joe all day!

Joe was not always the neat and sweet man he is today.

C'mon Nomorecornchuckin'. Tell the story of your Dad and Joe!
C'MON! TELL IT!!
If my uncle was anything, he was gruff. Joe Humphries found that out. 🙂

And also, please remember that JH has sold out to the SRC.

He has? Please tell me more!

I think it is common knowledge that when the evil empire's roster of members was listed on its website that JH's name was on the list. I doubt whether he paid the big bucks to join, but I imagine he "sold" his name to the empire. As I and others have noted previously, it is sad that a person who made loads of money from average fuys has sold out to an enterprise that has removed access from those average guys who supported him.

Ok, Let's just say, Joe was a wrestler and my Dad was a boxer. They had a long standing argument over who would prevail in the ring.......Joe wasn't too proud in the end! "Nuff said.

Well Nomorecornchuckin', thats not nearly as entertaining as when I heard it, but it does get to the point.
Have fun turkey hunting and you can always post a picture in the open forums thread if you get one. 🙂

sorry it wasn't more in detail, but as tenacious as Joe was, let's just say,he just didn't win.

GREAT teacher. In fact, 90% of the stuff in that podcast I heard in his classroom 28 years ago!

I took his class at PSU in 1981. I used to screw around with fly fishing before that, but Joe really got me hooked. And got me to a place where I could consistently catch some fish.

He is a character. We used to call him "Give-a-Show-Joe."

Give a show Joe! Too funny! I met him last year the East Coast FF'ing Show in Somerset, NJ. He sat on the bench outside the lecture hall a good 30 minutes before his presentation and shot the bull with 5 or 6 of us. Great story teller! A real treat! He seemed ever down to earth.
