The little Golden Guide: FISHING was the first angling book I ever read. My grandfather gave me his antique copy (from the early 1960s) to read and study before I went on my first trout trip in the spring of my 1st grade year. I remember reading the descriptions of fish species, tackle, bait, and rigging until I could actually memorize some of the book's passages!
