Furnace Brook - Berks Co - closed ?

on the class A list as on public land but closed, is that right ?

PM me if you prefer, i've googled various combinations but come up with no rhyme or reason, and it seems hikers can traverse the SGL including the creek ???

Furnace is the watershed that feeds the Hamburg water supply. The creek is off limits to fishing upstream of the dam and downstream, at least to the water treatment station. It's been closed to fishing for a good while. There's also no camping allowed in the watershed area, even for AT hikers.

that's funny, that watershed has such protection that no one is even allowed NEAR it, yet where I live, hey, what's a little frack fluid dumped in, big deal.

There is someplace upstream of the reservoir that is open to fishing I think, at least it is fished.
