I hit a small section of a Class A in central PA yesterday that I haven’t fished for several years. Had a lot of fun catching some pretty little native brookies. As I was standing at the tail of a slower glide I noticed multiple small disturbances on the surface. As I continued to watch I saw some sort of bug on the surface sending out vibrations. As it got closer to me I could see it was a decent sized black beetle and the black nosed dace were coming up and nipping at its legs. How about that, third week of March and the terrestrial season has begun? What’s up with that?
