Any Locations Near Meadville?

I’ll be in the meadville area for 4th of July weekend and would like to get out for one morning. Are there any good locations nearby? I’m up for trout or smallmouth.

I'll let someone from that neck of the woods chime in as I don't know the area well. . . but if it were me, I'd go for smallies.

For smallies, French Creek is a good choice. The trout streams will likely be too warm
