No, it isn't good. We need all the rain we can get here in SE Pa.
Read the rest of my post.🙂 I based it on my own desire for a rain-free run. Was at the game Saturday night and you could see threatening clouds and lightening for the last half of the game but only had light rain during the game. Run was totally rain-free. Looks like only a bit today but I haven't checked out radar or storm totals.
Edit: I see the postings above!

Looks like a good chance going in to tomorrow for rain with more isolated heavy totals. Guidance seems to be in agreement that Wednesday's precip chances are minimal with an increase in storm chances for Thursday ?. Late week - first half of weekend is kind of up in the air. So, we'll see...
Closest crick has been blown out since Saturday morning but maybe a trib within walking distance is fish able since we've only had between .25-50" in the past 24 hours.

South Jersey received less than.25 inches of rain yesterday. This morning I thought that I saw buzzards sitting on a cactus.

We’ve had 2.92 in of rain in May so far in the Allentown/Bethlehem area, mostly over this past weekend. Went to fish the Jordan Ck last eve and it was nearly perfectly clear. Over the weekend flow had only risen from what was very low to now a low volume. Anything other than an intermittent downpour embedded within the systems that moved through must have been absorbed. I helped a guy dig out a shrub on Saturday and the ground was only wet in perhaps the top inch, if that.

got about a half inch of what was predicted to be 2-3 inches in Bucks County. the year to date map still looks like we needed more April showers... i'm guessing the low water and high daily air temps will likely shorten the cold water fishing season.

Many regions got some much needed rain. Maybe more on the way throughout the week. Fingers crossed.
Cranked my boat out of the water at Long Eddy yesterday just as the flash flood warning tones came across the radio 🤣. The sudden blowout/color up really ruined what started as a great MB day, but the much needed rain is a great tradeoff

Dear Board,

We've gotten some decent rain here around Harrisburg, but it really hasn't had much of an effect on stream levels. We've gotten a little over 1 inch since Friday. It looks like we're on tap to receive about the same through Thursday unless a thunderstorm hangs out close by.

The bad thing is, once the sun comes out for a full day, I'll be stuck running the 24 Hours of Le Lawnmower all weekend. We mowed the lawn on Friday finishing just before the rain started, and it already needs cut again. 😉

Regards,

Tim Murphy 🙂

Tell me about it. It POURED on my way home from work today, and I mean it rained like I haven't seen it rain in years. They got way more than an inch of rain in less than 30 minutes.

Regardless, I cut my grass before my camping trip over the weekend, and it already looks like a hayfield.

Dear jifigz,

I tried out my new rotisserie for my Weber Kettle grill yesterday. Set it up, got it to temperature, loaded the chicken on the spit, added an applewood chunk and put the lid on it. Smoke was rolling nicely when the sky opened up biblically

In a ten-minute torrential downpour, the temperature dropped from 350F to about 110F. Thankfully, the fire stayed lit and 20 minutes later it was back to 350F. I completed the cook with just a minor delay. It was to be expected on the maiden voyage.

I can report that despite being drenched with torrential rain the electric motor on the Only Fire rotisserie performed without a hiccup. This thing will be a game changer! 😉

Regards,

Tim Murphy 🙂

I was out doing a little micro fishing on Thursday at a local small stream and was surprised when I got there that the water was high(er) and off color. That was after .74" of rain.

I'm sure it was back to its previous low state by Friday afternoon but it was encouraging because it's a dinky creek that travels though woods & farmland and doesn't drain a large area.

It's raining again as I write this so things are looking up, at least temporarily.
