What is your most effective caddis pupa that you tye?

Here's mine.

CDC and elk for surface/film. HE soft hackle throughout the water column. Lafontaine pupa when I feel like tying them.

A Fox's Poopah in tan or olive has been a good one for me. Seems like you can't fish this one wrong.

Of course the traditionalist in me says a partridge and green, partridge and orange, gray hackle peacock, brown hackle peacock, Pass Lake, or any number of other soft hackles and hair wing wets.

And you can't go wrong with a LaFontaine style pupa, as many here have testified.

Mkern,
Just tied the bubble caddis pupa, the picture does it no justice. Love the depth the body has.
Paco,
Your fly rocks, cant wait to get them wet. Thanks guys.

Exactly

Sounds like a caddis larva to me. A pupa is basically the emerger.
