Upper Delaware Camping Locations

Another float option is the last 10 miles of the Lackawaxen, not the Lackawanna. Problem is it is a "sort of" tailwater that is used for intermittent power generation and it may be hard to find good water levels for floating and fishing other than at whitewater releases. Even then, when I have floated it during a release the fish seemed sort of off to dry flies. Plenty of bugs on the water, no risers. It can be good when conditions are right, but planning a fishing float can be limiting. Similar issue to the lower Mongaup across the Delaware. When the fates align it is great, but most of the time the yo-yo release schedule makes fishing tough to fit in for a traveling angler. Locals can more often be thereat the right time.

Of course, it is currently high like most of the rivers in the area.
