Streams near Hamburg

Good Morning All,

Myself and a friend are coming down to the Hamburg area this weekend for the Trout Opener. What are some good streams in the area. We've been here only once before and fished Mill Creek I think it was and then parts of the Little Schuylkill. I'm trying to do some research before I come down and have a few places in mind. But I figured I would also ask on here.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

For a small, barely fished stream, go to Red Ck, located 20 min up Rt 61 and then to the west just west of Landingville. For a large stream, hit Maiden Ck and then Ontelaunee or Pine Cks, which are all along or intersect Rt 143 from Lenhartsville north.

close to hamburg you can check out bear ck, and the little schuyk is good too. They stock the little schuyk right in Port Clinton (or did), and there is a nice special regs section a little further N. I think you can get on Maiden Creek too.

Bear Creek is a good early season choice.
