This brookie from 2021 was a beaut. It came from the Penns System.

I have caught some that were maybe for beautiful but the blue halos around the spots on this wild brown are unique.

I especially like the brilliant red on the adipose fin of this brown. I also like the color of the pelvic fin on the second wild brown. Not big, but a pretty one.

I'm thinking we won't see many stocked trout in this thread.

These pictures don't do this fish justice but it was about an 18" wild brown I took on a Sulphur one May that had an almost completely red tail to go along with a red adipose, anal fin and a ton of bright red spots all over, especially the lower half of its body.

Caught WAY up on big Pine Creek.
