Orvis rods for sale

Orvis Clearwater 9ft 8 wt with matching Clearwater large Arbor reel. Used SA Titan Taper floating line on the reel goes with it. Rod was broke but factory fixed but an inch short now. Great set up for smallies. $200. Rod tube and reel bag included

Orvis Recon 9ft 7wt. Rod is in good condition with a few scratches. Great bass rod or streamer rod for big water trout. $250. Rod tube and bag included

Hey Paralep, I would guess the above Orvis Clearwater rod was sold to you used, or given to you by someone, and you were told it was repaired by the Orvis rod shop. Orvis would never repair a rod by installing a tiptop on the end of a broken rod tip and send it back to any customer with a short rod section. Orvis replaces all broken sections with a new one if they have one in stock, or sometimes they actually manufacture a new section for the customer. They may even decide to replace the entire rod with the same model. Their last option would be to contact the customer and offer to send an equivalent rod as a replacement, if the rod cannot be remanufactured.

Further, since the rod is a Clearwater model, which is manufactured overseas, they would never made any sort of repairs to a Clearwater. Their only option is replace the section with a new one if one is in stock, or send the customer an entire new rod as replacement.
