New Zealand Strike Indicator

So I was looking at the pic from the name brand system and it appears a small baiting need would do just fine. They are still available at some tackle shops and then you don't need top buy a Dremel tool if you don't have one.
 
My issue is, where to store the used piece(s) of wool after you remove it? The video simply says it can be stored and reused later. I'm going to try a small hair barrette.

I really wouldn't worry too much about that. I don't believe the special wool is anything special. You can buy poly yarn for a nickel a mile at a craft store, and have enough indicator material to pass on to the next few generations of your family.
