anyone in mifflintown area tell me how the juniata looks right now? is it up/off-color from last nights rain? I know there are usga charts but I have a hard time interpreting them. thanks

I usually go by the rule of thumb that if the current rate is much above the 75th percentile, then you probably don't want to be wade fishing the J. That said, I drove by it last Wednesday and the water was up and had a bit of color to it, so I can assume that all the rain we've got has kept it up and at least partially discolored. Also, it looks like the current CFS is 5660 and the 75th percentile is 2150, so I probably wouldn't plan on fishing it for a few days.

I drove over it today. Not very fishable with brown water.

Its a little better today, its been a tough spring/early summer for the little juniata and juniata

Juniata at Huntingdon is up and brownish/green. Lewistown this morning was chocolate milk. I would guess Mifflintown would be the same.

Juniata at Newport is still brown and up

How does the Susky look around Duncannon and upstream?
