Getting back to the original topic: these hackle pliers caught my eye when I received my FFP catalog recently. I've never really been satisfied with any other kind I've tried yet, and am always on the lookout for something better.
I'll probably pick these up next time I get to state college. Thanks for the report HA

I swear any more I think PAFF stands for "People Against Friendly Fun".

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeez, I'll keep my humor to myself from now on.

If we were still allowed to have fun in this thread, I'd have a comeback but since we're not...................

OK Fox - sorry I derailed your derail!

Sarcastic apology accepted. Although I now know never to post in threads created by certain people. Oh well, life goes on.

Went to FFP to grab a pair of these to try, Steve said good luck can't keep them in the store we sell them as fast as we get them. Got a pair with my name on them when they get them in.

Jack - that's funny. I stopped at FFP Friday afternoon on my way to camp, and they were sold out.

I stopped at the Evening Hatch on my way home today and got the last two pair they had for Fox and djs12354.

The owner of the Evening Hatch said essentially the same thing as FFP. They sold two dozen of them at the Lancaster show in one day, and 28 of them at Somerset in one day.

Guess the word is out about them...

No one uses fingers to wrap hackle? :(

But of course. And for those of us that tie on a Renzetti, this is easy.

It's easy to wrap hackle when you're using saddle feathers, but when you get down to the last bit of feather, hackle pliers are a good thing.

Wrapping a size 24 hackle feather from a cape is something I'd like to see you do without hackle pliers.

Kids.......sheesh. ;-)

Do you remember seeing another pair of hackle pliers at the Somerset show that were different and unique ?
They had like a u shape on one arm and the other arm went between the u
Don't know who was selling them or what they were called
