Hello, I'm looking for some good resources on freshwater striper/hybrid fishing on the fly. I apologize if this topic was already covered on the site but, via a quick search I didn't find anything pertaining to Freshwater. I'd like to target some stripers in a local lake this year and was looking for some answers regarding line/leader/rod wt.. As for flies, I feel like I have a decent grasp of what I should be throwing and how to present the fly itself.

Most external online sources are heavily geared toward saltwater (where fish size is often unproportional) thus raising line weight, rod size, leader etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

They are usually in deeper water unless you can find a bait in the shallows at night type situation which is pretty rare (though this is the right time of year for it) Years ago i spent a lot of time spin fishing for hybrid wipers in lakes just like you describe. It was tough even with spin fishing gear
