Favorite Pattern for Fresh Stocked Trout

I have a whole slew of water bugs. Tan and brown that look like pellets. Never fails always works to put fish in the pan off of stocked water early in the season. Almost as much fun as worm and 1/4 inch bolt fishing. Actually it's more fun cuz at least I'm still wave'n a fly rod around.

Egg/sucker spawn
San Juan worm
Wooly Bugger
Copper John

Those are my go to patterns for freshly stocked fish. I typically start with a pink ducker spawn with a trailing San Juan worm.

I have great luck with a cream colored woolly bugger.
