Competition Fishing on Spring Creek

Obviously very seriously

For anybody that cares to believe it is just dredging the bottom with heavily weighted jig flies, you are really really wrong.

If it catches fish, I see no problem with that.

I have no problem either. I am just trying to say, there are so many tactics that are used. I am amazed to see someone tossing size 20 midge nymphs in some of the deepest and fastest water on the river, and being able to get them down to the fish.

Do they get to practice for a day before the comp. ??

They can practice morning of the comp if they want to fish at 4am. Competitors are banned from fishing the actual venues a week before the comp. Meaning I can fish Benner, can't fish McCoy or Milesburg.
