My son, Adam, is 13 years old, has about a size 8 foot, is only 5 feet tall and is skinny as a rail. Last year, he wore a pair of Herters Youth chest waders which are a PVC coated material with a built in size 5 felt boot on the bottom. They worked great, but, guess what, they don't fit his feet anymore!
So, he is right between youth and mens now, so I bought two pairs from Cabelas for him to try on.
Herter's® Youth Three Forks Uninsulated Felt-Sole Waders ($60). Size 6 (largest size). These fit him fine in the body, but the boots are too small. I figured they would be, but he was still barely able to get his feet into the old size 5, so I thought we should try.
Herter's® Men's Three Forks Uninsulated Felt Sole Waders ($68). Size 8. These were still too small on his foot and way too big and tall in the inseam etc.
I hate to spend too much money on the boy who is still growing. Any good ideas?
