CDC March Brown Biot Parachute Emerger

I tie and fish a march brown wet fly during the emergence of the duns. I have had better luck doing this over the years. The wet fly can easily be fished in the film, to represent a cripple.

My personal opinion is that the underneath is too dark. But that's me. Is it worth it to look for the hatch? Yes especially on a cloudy miserable spring day. They'll drift forever on the water. But they usually spend a couple of days out of the water after hatching so don't look for big spinnerfalls on days the bugs are hatching. I seen swarms of March Browns over the water in the evenings that never dropped that night.
