brookie outing report (k-bob and myself, with pictures)

The san juan could have been mine. They work in the winter before I start with dry flies in spring. Now I like hot pink, it's easier to see in the water.

I like fooling around with equipment for brookie streams. Just bought a 4 piece, 5 weight, 6'6" Grey's grxi+ fly rod ($139) for hikes to steep streams. I will cut a long Scientific Anglers fly rod case for it (link below). The final case will be 20" long and weigh 12 oz. with shoulder strap. I have a good gps, snake gaitors, locater beacon, and mountain bike for these streams. Can I get a jet pack on ebay?

Maybe you guys haven't fished the lower section, it is one of the steepest streams you'll fish anywhere.
