It was probably 97 degrees, when I got to Hay Creek at noon. I fished it for about three hours... well, I was on the stream that long. I probably only fished for about a quarter of it. The rest was spent sitting in the shade.
Anyway, my friend spin fished and got a real nice 15"ish brownie. He was definitely stocked, though might have held over from earlier in the spring. I took him for the meal.
So to stop beating around the bush: I got skunked. Too damn hot, I guess.
