Short video about how to spot and fish trout in back-eddies of streams and rivers >

Thanks, I like the flashlight analogy.

This was a helpful video. I would not have known the value of this had I not traveled to wild trout waters. I believe that I grilled someone earlier this year about a similar subject. The truth is, locally, I've never seen trout in drain pipes and overhanging banks and so forth. Nor in shallow water. I think its because the creeks I fish are mostly full of stockies that behave more domestically. On my recent trip to the Green River I saw all these areas holding fish and it was amazing how large they were and close to the banks they were. Sometimes in water so shallow that when they moved a bit their various fins would break the surface.
Now I ruined a good flashlight.
