Looking at the extended forecast looks like Saturday & Sunday could be pretty good, wind doesn't look too bad.... doesn't look like much chance of any weather event to bump up flows.

Approximately what time do you guys think you will meet up to hit the river on Thursday, I'm coming up Thursday morning and want to start thinking about what time I'm going to leave to get there in time.

Thanks

We had planned to golf Thursday morning but I think martin and Phil are coming Wednesday morning so we can move the golf to Wednesday.

The forecast is nice for being outside but maybe not so great for fishing. Bright sun will limit top water until late in the day. Not sure of the fishing Thursday but floats might be limited to the main which is fine with me. West may be doable if it doesn't drop anymore. I would guess we will be assembled, rigged and ready to get shuttles started around 8:45-9am. From there it takes another hour or so to actually get shoved off and floating.
It's always chaos of some sort until we're on the river. I'll PM my cell number.

I just bought a Shadow Warrior 9ft 5wt rod from Shadow Flyfishing. They are a PA based rod company that offers a rod with two tips. I asked if they would include a demo for the jam ans they are sending one with the rod i ordered. http://www.shadowflyfishing.com

Let me be clear. The demo rod is for all of us to enjoy and cast but must be returned unharmed. I'll eat the rod if broken so Greg is out.

Hope you guys enjoy fishing the demo at the meet. The demo will be for sale but can not be given away. If you are looking for a freebie head over to the "shop talk" forum to enter yourself in the 7wt giveaway we have going on right now.

Do not be afraid to put a beating on the demo.. I could use the pictures of fish and really want you guys to put the rod to the test. If anything happens Bruno said he is paying for it, so no big deal lol.

Thanks guys!

Bruno, if something happens to the rod its covered, thanks for taking it to the meet!

That's very nice to send a demo rod. If you send a fast action, you'll have people say they wish you would have sent the medium action rod.... and vise versa. I'm interested in checking out the faster action model. A while back, I wanted to pick up an Echo 2 because of the spare tip idea. Ended up be discontinued / sold out before I could grab one. The spare tip feature really caught my eye and that is a huge plus.

Is there any chance you can send one of each model? This would give the participants a chance to compare the two models side by side.

Hopefully we'll get some pictures of the rods with fish before the "Alby factor" happens. LOL.

Hope this isn't a stupid question but, do I need any kind of registration sticker for the pontoon? I had to get a sticker for my kayak for Moraine state park

Norm,

You probably need a PA "Launch (Use) Permit". Maybe this is what you have for Moraine?
