i'm totally confused - the tables i'm reading show Friday 25th october as Low Tide around 11pm on the outside (island Beach, sedge island etc) and Low tide on the inside (Barnegat Inlet USGS station) of 7pm ish

how can the low tide on the inside be BEFORE the outside ?

all the inlets i've ever fished have been the other way - a time lag on the inside as water continues to flow out !

anyone ????

Low is around 10am in the back and high is at 3 pm.

Barnegat Bay is fed by multiple inlets. So that could impact things. And sometimes the tide tables aren't necessarily correct.
