Are smallmouth on yet?

Just wondering if the smallies have started the bite yet? I was out yesterday during the day and there was very few to be found, but then again I was on the swatara which was low. Also wondering if anyone has had sucess on the swatara? I've fished there a few times but never did all that great.

A friend and I floated a local river last week for two days and the numbers were great, so I'd say they were on. I think the heat and light have them hunkered down in deeper water more than usual. I haven't been on the swattie lately, but your best bets are really early and really late. Try weighted patterns and let them linger in the deeper water. Good luck!!!

Let's hit the Skuke sometime this week in the morning. I was out for smallies for the first time ever and landed 10. Beginner's luck. Also the mouth of the Tully.
