Wow brookies

This brook had the brightest orange spots I've ever seen. The photo doesn't do it justice they almost glowed... It was awesome. Thought I'd share

Looks like it would be delicious... brook trout are delicious, though I have never eaten a wild one.

I find the exposed gills disturbing. I would crop that out and make a wall paper of it.

I think that brookie is beautiful enough, it doesn't need enhancing. It sure looks like it could use some water though.

It's just the way I was holding onto the fly that opened it's gills up. It was literally out of the water less than 5 seconds and propped on my wet waders........
