Losing Chickens

We thought a cat or hawk was takin some the flock the last couple weeks(10 birds so far) turns out its a BOBCAT......Dog sleepin in yard and george out by the coops abd there it was in the yard after one of the roosters....ARGH.....Camera was in the truck...$&^%$&^$#....Going tracking tomorrow to see if we can find it.....called some trapper friends to see if anyone has a bobcat permit....George didn't get one this year.....

I had a bobcat walk right up to me one time when I was hiking in the pony mountains.I had stopped to take a break and was sitting on a fallen tree.I saw it coming up the mountainside so I sat as still as possible and watched out of the corner of my eye.It got to within fifteen feet before it realized what the lump on the log was.
Not quite as exciting as the time a feral cat jumped in my Ford Bronco when I opened the door to answer a call of nature.Since it was about 20 below can't say I blamed it.
