A Saturday in the Wilderness

Got out yesterday for a few hours. Looks like the brookies on this stream are done spawning. Lot of redds with nothing on them. Tons of leaves making wading a bit trecherous at times. Need a good storm to wash some of those leaves away plus we certainly need the rain.

I stopped at a local brookies stream in SEPA on Monday and saw plenty of spawning beds, even a very large one, but no active spawning. All of the spawning beds I saw were fresh. So today I plan on going to another to see if there are spawning brookies.
