Tied my first 2 fly patterns tonight...

Im kinda new to the whole flyfishing and flytying scene and since today was a rainy, blah type day I went to the local flyshop and picked up some flytying materials and tied up some flies. I did up some salmon egg flies and some "Hook O' Maggot" flies. I think I did pretty well for the first time attempt on these particular patterns... What ya think?

Awesome job. I've never seen the hook o maggots. Salmon eggs look good. What type of egg yarn did you use? I love McFlyfoam for eggs.

yeah, thats what I used...the Mcflyfoam stuff.

Very nice. When I tied my maggots, I used red thread. Sort of gave them a dead meat look.
The eggs look great too for a first time tie.
