anyone know a great online site for purchasing fly tying material.

www.performanceflies.com

Not a huge tying selection but this outfit ships free with just a $5.00 order.

Blue Quill Angler

They ship very fast and communication is excellent.

feather-craft.com and performanceflies.com

^^This one^^ You will be pleased.

Yup - Performance Flies is a good one.

Here's another:

http://www.jsflyfishing.com/

I like J.Stockard's website because it shows availability of items. They're great to deal with, and they've supported PAFF events - very generously, I might add. Same with Kevin Compton at Performance Flies.

I use J. Stockard's as well and I have been pleased with their products and service.

All of the above are great choices. FlyFishersParadise also has a nice selection, great customer service, and ridiculously fast shipping.
Mike.

Being about eight minutes from my house :-D I never think of them as "online" Steve will make sure you're happy. I guarantee it...

Www.flytyersdungeon.com i got so cheap EPs matwrial for baitfish. Cheaper than hairline

Feathercraft.com their selection is endless, and their customer service is awesome too. they also shipped multiple orders to me here in Afghanistan.

fly tyers dungeon is also good for dubbing and flash

All of the previously mentioned are great. I would include:

www.charliesflyboxinc.com

www.ripslipsfishing.com

I buy all of my tungsten beads from ripslips---great prices

I should mention http://www.fishwest.net as well. They have awesome service, decent prices, and free & quick shipping.

I have had fantastic service from Fishwest recently, I just wish they had more tying material.

bob marriots
caddis fly shop
pacific fly fishers
Orlando outfitters
Mad river outfitters
tackle craft - great for cheap bucktails

Will plug Bob Mariotts. Blue Quill is good too and free shipping.

Problem is, when making an order it drives me nuts that a given place will have absolutely all but one critical thing I'm looking for. I'll say that just did an order with Bob Mariotts and it was the first place I've ever gone to online that had every obscure thing I wanted in stock at once. Seemingly every color/pattern option available for a given product.

Nice thread. Now that I'm into my second week of tying I need more material. I'll probably use Stockard since they support the forum.

Only 1 place, Flyfisher's Paradise Online. Steve is the best.
