I just recieved a collection of old fly tying materials and supplies. I don't know how old they are but I got two vices, some books, one was copywrited 1941 or something like that. And various other things. I will put a full list with pictures eventually. One sign that this stuff is old is that there are some hooks and they are in small cardboard matchbox type boxes. Also got an LL Bean leader making tool for tying blood knots, some LL Bean scissors, an old bobbin, a tying tray type thing that sits on the table, even though it is left handed. I don't think the vices are that nice because they were used for a beginning tyer, just like the books, but one of the vices has a small jaw.

Just thought I'd share.

great news.any holy grail stuff like junglecock or chadwick's darning yarn?

no, nothing like that. There really wasn't that much in the way of materials. Just some hooks and tools in a shoe box. I guess I titled the post inaccurately.
