Gray Wolf's variant of the classic Stevens pattern.

I tied this one last year for streamers365 but had cause to tie it again this weekend.

I like this one better.

Hooks is a Mustad B17 size 2, pretty big - bigger than the Size1 10xl martineks, i believe.

Have you got a Bit of foil or wire around the shank to get it down a little? the proportions are perfect. Some go overboard with those top feathers. I think you have the length just right.

no foil or wire. This hook is pretty heavy, but this one is tied for a collector so it wont see water.

If i was tying it for fishing, the wing would be at the bend of the hook, not longer.
