dubbing

this might sound a little crazy i am new to tying and i was woundering could you use the under coat of dog fur for dubbing.i have three labs. the fur is a fine soft and looks like it would work.

Hey, if the colors the right shade for what you're tying - why not.
An old fishing buddy of mine had a mixed breed dog, whose fur he swore was just the right color for geen drakes.
And he used it, and caught lots of fish on those flies

Of course, the texture and fineness of the fur would have to be OK also

Plenty of people use cat and dog fur for dubbing.

I just prefer to buy my rabbit dubbing.

Sure it would , i'll bet lab fur is pretty waterproof too TRY IT and let us know how it works out.
