Good idea, but I wonder if there are many lost flies because they slide off (trees, rocks, or fish twisting the fly).

I think tying in a mono loop over the head of the fly and a loop-to-loop connection is similar, without the extra expense.

Are they using some kind of special hook or just relying on the eye to catch the loop of the slip knot? It looks almost to simple :roll:
