I really like using CDC for dry flies. I like it just as much for wets.
The movement that it brings to a fly is hard to beat. This is a fly I have used early Spring at Quill Gordon time and done well with. It is also a good way to use up those CDC feathers which are not the best quality. The wing is just a tip of a feather. The thorax is CDC dubbed then picked out. Nice and buggy.

I like using cdc for both as well. Nice tie there Gc. Is that a quill body?

Yes it is a quill body. From a dun colored saddle.

Sweet, that's what I was thinking. Those bodies really look nice.
