There's a lot of caddis hatches around my area, and I tie a pretty simple caddis emerger pattern to use for them, but saw this on YouTube the other day and figured I'd share it. I'm not too much of a fan of the red dubbing at the end, but overall it's a pretty good looking pattern.

Here's a couple that I tie that work well for me on the freestones.

Enjoy!

It really doesn't look like much, but the LaFountaine Emergent Sparkle Pupa is, during a caddis hatch, a miracle fly. It vacuums up the stream better than any fly I've tried for caddis.

Afish,

On that note you should check out Al and Gretchen Beatty's new book "LaFontaine's Legacy"

He was the man.
