Down in Greensburg this week and saw that I am only 40 minutes from Connellsville. Just posting to see if anyone has fished the yough lately there, how the conditions are, and if fish are biting. Trying to get down there today or friday before heading back home.

There are trout there. But the water temps get well over 70 in the summer, which has been the case for the last few days.
Also, the flow is 1800 CFS right now, which would make for some tough wading.
I usually fish it closer to confluence in summer - much cooler water.
You can check it all out on the usgs

Yes, much better bass populations down that way. Im a big smallmouth fan, so thats just fine with me : ) I wouldnt consider 1800 too high to fish. Last time I was on that stretch of the yough was maybe late june? I remember the gauge reading 2250cfs or so. Water was up, but I wasnt being blown away. Did pretty well. 1800 is high on th eohiopyle gauge. 1800 should be fine for the connelsville gauge.
