Anyone know if Laurel Lake at Pine Grove Furnace is a decent place to fish for Bass? We got the itch to throw some poppers and buggers lately. I have a small electric motored boat and want to hit a small lake in South Central Pa.

Yeah, there are bass in Laurel. Focus around the vegetation in the lake. Can get pretty crowded on the weekends. Not sure where exactly you're coming from, but Pinchot Lake in York County is considered one of the best LMB lakes in the state by many. Might have a better chance of hooking up with a few more fish.

Klingy is spot on. I fish Laurel often because it it close to home, but it does not compare the Pinchot. Opossum Lake used to be a great LMB lake, but it will take years to restore that population with recent extended drawdown.

Laurel was also recently drawn down too - it seems to me about 3 years ago(?).
The lake was re-stocked with WW species but it may be awhile before large bass are common. However, they are in there - I hooked a LM last summer from shore on a popper that was probably in the upper teens.
