Bass season is in full swing and I have had several great outings this June and July so far. Smallies are hittin hard and fightin' harder. Just got to find them.

Greetings from York County,

Not sure who wins the photogenic award, me or the bass lol.

It's a decent pic of you, but the bass is very handsome.

This is my first bass on the fly. This is also my first post on this forum. I'm glad I recently found out about you all (and flyfishing).

First sizeable bass of 2013 for me. Caught on the didymo-rich Pine Creek ;-)

Welcome to to paflyfish kyle.

You will learn a lot here if you stick around. There are anglers of all ages and skill levels here to share what they know.

Have faith in the poppers and your bass will follow.

It's that time of year. I got out for about an hour yesterday evening on a local creek - the bass didn't want a popper but when I switched to a streamer I got a fat little LM on every third cast or so.

This thread is a better fit in the Warmwater forum and will be moved shortly.

Welcome to the PAFF forum, Kyle. A great place to hang out when your not out there fishing!

The water is warming up and the bass fishing is really getting into gear. I didn't manage to catch any big fish yet this season but the action has been very good. Here are a couple that I caught recently. Everything so far has been taken underneath - no topwater action yet. I'm sure once the water clears up a bit the topwater game will be on! Bass fishing with a flyrod is just a whole lot of fun.

Figured it'd get moved Dave. I threw it in the general forum initially because it gets more traffic.

Now show us your bass or go home.

Here's a nice lil guy from a local creek this evening.

Jake, being serious for a moment, the General gets more repeat traffic only. I guarantee that anyone wanting bass on the fly info visits here as often as there in proportion to new posts. An intertesting experiment would have involved posting identical threads in each forum. But we don't encourage such duplicate threads.

I say always post in the most appropriate forum. You will get your hits. It may require a bit more patience when in the more specific forums, but not too much.

This was 4 years ago next Thursday on the Youghiogheny River near Confluence, PA, (Somerset County).

Nothing too big yet for me this year, but plenty of little guys. Healthy, hard fighting fish.

On a sz14 nymph of all things

Looks like they're eating good Dan, nice fish.

Lol.....I don't think so. Theses are more precious to me than Brookies.

Here's my largest LM this year, 17 inches (and will probably be the biggest I get this year). Took a nymph under an indicator.
