Ross Cimarron C-2 spare spool (Pre 1998 I think)

I took a chance and bought this spool on ebay last month and of course it did not fit my reel. The spool is flat black which I believe this means it is pre 1998. I just want to get back the $60 I paid. If you want a picture or any questions, my cell is 412-215-0463.
