Like new, excellent condition Redington CPX 10' 6" #6 weight switch rod. Great rod for nymphing Lake Erie or Lake Ontario streams for steelhead, or swinging streamers for chrome and trout in bigger streams and rivers.

This rod initially listed for $350, it was the end of the year and Redington was bringing out their new models. I got it on-line at a close out price of $250. This is a great looking rod, black blank and black pearl wrap, hard chrome snake guides, two big stripping guides, graphite composite reel seat insert, aluminum up lock reel seat with two locking rings, 10.75" cork grip, 3.5" fixed butt, composite cork rings at front and back of both grips. Alignment dots on each rod section, oversize tip top. Used no more than ten times. If interested PM me with your email address for more pictures. Selling at $190.00 + postage or will deliver within 25 miles or York, PA.

10 footer!

You are a real jokester! Yes, but not a dry fly rod! Are you going to let me use your 10'??

Will this rod throw a standard 6 or 7 weight line or does it require a specialty line?

Buy it Greg. I want to fish it

Hey Greg,

The 6wt designation is not equivalent to regular fly rod / fly line weight ratings.

A switch rod casts best with a switch line, which has a head approximately 3X the rod length. A 6wt line is listed at 340gr with a 34' from the Orvis site.

A 6wt would be a good choice for steelie fishing. You can SH, 2H or spey cast it for steelies.
