Interesting article in the Post-Gazette on Nine Mile Run

I drive past this stream twice a day usually and always find myself wondering if it ever held trout or if it could someday in the future.

Alb, I'm actually glad that I read the article. I had always planned on going to Frick Park and checking it out. Terms like "open sewer" and "fecal coliforms" will keep me out of the water for sure.

What's a little more disturbing to me is the amount of guys fishing just below where 9 Mile enters the river at Duck Hollow. I can see them as I cross the High Level bridge. I'll stick to the Allegheny I think.
