Sometimes the fish strike back! Landed a nice 13" Brookie Sunday evening on a Circus Peanut, well the picture should explain the release!

Ouch! Just remember keep the loop low and PULL HARD AND FAST. LOL.

That stings eh?

Ouch! and its in a sensitive part of your hand.

I hate when that happens.

Ugh. Hooks hurt.

How did that happen? And how did you get it out?

Was there any carelessness involved? Can we sue the fly tyer?

One of the benifits to using barbless. Can't say how many OUCHIES i had this year alone. Better than getting a fly or split shot launched back at mach 3 though. Still have a few scars on my fingers from those encounters.

While trying to remove the hook, the fish did another tail dance and sunk the second hook deep! Trusty leatherman pliers and a lot of discomfort! Hook was debarbed, but it was in the webbed skin between the thumb and index finger and just didn't want to come out.

Who cares? Soon the browns will take over.

a Stinger hook on brookies? really?

Just trying out a fly that bobbymo tied in the Articulated Fly Swap, there were some nice sized browns and rainbows in the same hole.

@ fredrick,

Remembered that one from a few years back.
