White Flies

While fishing one of the local ATW's in my area i heard from a few gentleman that other fly fisherman were killing all the stocked fish on top when a motherload of tiny white flies broke out at dusk, any ideas on what they were?

Midges appear silvery, especially right after they hatch.
Matter of fact so do BWO.

If you have midges on your favorite stream take ICSI's in gray, white, olive, black and yellow (18 to 22's) you will not be sorry.

I was out on sunday night and saw a blizzard of tiny gray midges at dusk about size 26 the water was a bit cloudy.Went this morning to french and seen and caught alot on size 22 gray midge emergers.
